Okay, I’m aware that this is a bit of an old one but given everything going on today in the world I thought that this was a timely movie to review. For those who missed its debut in theaters in 1985, Goonies is a film, directed by Richard Donner based on a story by Stephen Spielberg, about a band of kids from Astoria, Oregon who are on a quest to try and save their parents mortgages from foreclosure and their homes from demolition to make way for, of all things, a golf course. The key to this quest is finding the lost treasure belonging to a local legend, One-Eyed Willy, who fought his final battle nearby. Read more
